EGWEA board member, Lamyaa El-Gabry attended the 12th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena and Dynamics of Rotating Machinery (ISROMAC-12) to present a paper titled “Computation of Unsteady Heat Transfer on the Casing of a Turbine Blade” ISROMAC12-2008-20191. The paper was part of a session on Heat Transfer chaired by Robert Hendricks of NASA Glenn Research Center. The paper was co-authored with Ali Ameri, Research Scientist at Ohio State University.
The International Symposium on Transport Phenomena and Dynamics of Rotating Machinery is a bi-annual conference that was first held in 1985. The conference covers all aspects of rotating machinery including structural dynamics, fluid mechanics, heat transfer, etc. Participants and papers come from industry, academia, and research labs throughout the world. ISROMAC-12 was held February
17-22, 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
