EGWEA Participation in ISROMAC-12

EGWEA board member, Lamyaa El-Gabry attended the 12th International Symposium on Transport Phenomena and Dynamics of Rotating Machinery (ISROMAC-12) to present a paper titled “Computation of Unsteady Heat Transfer on the Casing of a Turbine Blade” ISROMAC12-2008-20191. The paper was part of a session on Heat Transfer chaired by Robert Hendricks of NASA Glenn Research Center.  The paper was co-authored with Ali Ameri, Research Scientist at Ohio State University.

EGWEA participation in ICREA, 16-18 April 2008

EGWEA president, professor Galal Osman is attending the International Conference on Renewable Energy in Africa (ICREA) held in Dakar, Senegal, 16-18 2008.  Within the conference technical program, Prof. Osman first presentation on April 16th is titled “Policy and regulatory issues for grid connected wind energy in Egypt, implications for scaling up” on April 16th and his second presentation on April 17th is titled “Large Wind Farms – Project in Egypt”.

EGWEA participation in CWEE2008, 25-28 April 2008

EGWEA president, professor Galal Osman is attending the 2nd China (Shanghai) International Wind Energy Exhibition & Symposium (CWEE2008) held at Shanghai New International Expo Center in Shanghai, 25-27 April, 2008.  Within the Symposium technical program, Prof. Osman has a presentation on April 26th, titled “Chances and Market Perspectives for Chinese Wind Turbines Companies in Africa and MENA Countries”.   Building on the success of the previous event, CWEE2008 is the meeting place of the most important companies working in wind energy in China and worldwide.  It is also the most important technology exchange platform and with important business and trade opportunities.

Both Prof. Galal Osman (EGWEA & AFRIREA President) and  Mr Mohamed Abo El Eneen (Chairman of Energy and Industry Committee - Egyptian Parliament) represented Egypt in the Washington International Renewable Energy Conference, WIREC 2008.
